Tall vermilion columns support the grand portico, while ornate white marble balustrades and staircases with carved cloud and dragon motifs lead up to the main entrance. The facade is enriched with gilded decorative panels and intricate polychrome painted ceilings, characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century Taiwanese monumental architecture inspired by imperial Chinese palace design.
