Original file name: 20230701 172736

This building features a grand double-eaved hip roof clad in glazed golden-yellow tiles with upturned eaves and ornamental ridge decorations, characteristic of imperial Chinese palatial architecture reinterpreted in a modern context. The facade is lined with bold red columns supporting elaborately bracketed eaves, set upon a raised stone platform accessed by broad ceremonial staircases with white marble balustrades. This is the National Concert Hall at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall complex in Taipei, Taiwan, exemplifying the Chinese Renaissance revival style promoted by the Republic of China government.
