The Hospital Metropolitano in Santiago, Chile displays a symmetrical Beaux-Arts facade with a prominent central pavilion featuring arched windows and classical pilasters rising through multiple stories. The white stucco exterior is accented with blue painted details at the base and window surrounds, while a mansard-like upper story with dormer windows crowns the roofline. Regularly spaced rectangular windows with decorative surrounds and a rusticated ground floor reflect the institutional Beaux-Arts vocabulary common in early twentieth-century Latin American public buildings.
