This is the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, featuring a massive white marble base with a trapezoidal form topped by a multi-tiered octagonal roof with deep blue glazed tiles and elaborate bracketing (dougong). The structure combines traditional Chinese imperial palace aesthetics with monumental scale, including white marble balustrades, an arched entrance portal, and a gilded finial crowning the roof. The design deliberately evokes the grandeur of Ming and Qing dynasty palatial architecture while serving as a modern commemorative monument.
