This grand ceremonial paifang gate features five arched openings framed by white marble-clad piers adorned with intricate relief carvings of traditional Chinese motifs. The structure is crowned with multiple glazed dark-blue hip-and-gable roofs with upturned eaves and elaborate dougong bracket sets, characteristic of Chinese Renaissance civic architecture. The central arch bears the inscription '自由廣場' (Liberty Square), identifying this as the main entrance gate to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall complex in Taipei, Taiwan.
