The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall annex (Zhongshan Hall area) displays a prominent sweeping hip roof clad in golden-yellow glazed tiles, characteristic of Chinese Renaissance civic architecture that blends traditional palatial Chinese forms with modern construction methods. The facade features a colonnade of robust concrete columns supporting the overhanging eaves, with red-painted infill walls evoking imperial Chinese palace aesthetics. A broad ceremonial staircase leads to the main entrance, reinforcing the monumental and formal character of the building.
