This is the three-storied pagoda (Sanjunoto) of Kiyomizudera temple in Kyoto, featuring the characteristic Wayo style with dramatically wide, sweeping eaves supported by elaborate bracket complexes (tokyō) painted in vivid vermilion and accented with yellow and polychrome decorative friezes. Each story is defined by densely layered bracket sets and rounded rafter ends (taruki) beneath dark ceramic roof tiles, creating a rhythmic, tiered silhouette. A traditional stone lantern (tōrō) stands in the foreground, framing the pagoda's ornate entrance doors and green-shuttered windows.
