Federal · Early 19th century · Built ~1820
Original file name: IMG 0067
This two-story painted masonry building exhibits characteristics of the American Federal style, featuring a symmetrical facade with regularly spaced double-hung sash windows flanked by louvered shutters. The low-pitched standing-seam metal roof, arched window lintels, and restrained ornamentation are hallmarks of the period. A bold red entry door provides a striking contrast to the dark gray painted exterior, a common decorative accent in vernacular Federal-era commercial and residential buildings of the American South.
